Caliente Springs Park

4/13 - 16/2010

After our two day stay at Desert Pools we drove across the road to Caliente Springs for four nights at $23. This has to be the shortest drive to date to a new neighborhood. Nice green grass and a pond even though we are in the desert. Very nice mobile home and RV park for snow birds. This park has a par 3 nine hole golf course. We have many spots to choose from as most all snow birds have flown north for the summer! The park has 679 sites of mobile homes or RV sites. Very nice place with paved in roads.( Mallery likes this place) Another pond next to the pool area. Side pool area. Very unusual shaped pool. With 4 varied temperature hot mineral springs spas. Another angle of the pool . It had a large pool that turned into a narrow angled pool that turned into another larger pool. This is one of their natural mineral hot spas. Joe and I got into the 2nd hottest spa after dinner one night. After about 10 minutes we moved into the next hottest spa. Finally we got into the hottest one. I didn't last long in that one as it was making me feel sick to my stomach, so I left Joe behind as he had found some people to talk to. I went back to the 3rd hottest spa, then 2nd, then 1st, then finally into the pool to do laps. We were told the water comes out from below the ground at 104 degrees and it has to be cooled down for the different spa pools. Even the big pools have the mineral water at I think 90 degrees. The spas and pools are great for muscle and joint problems. I loved our stay here. Mallery also loved her stay here. This was the first time since we left Iowa last Spring that I saw her do this. She got on her side and pushed herself with her back feet along on the grass. Then she got on her other side and pushed herself with her back feet along the grass. She does miss her big back yard with all of its soft green grass! She is in heaven right now. Who knew we'd find a little piece of heaven in the desert!
