Drive from North Rim to Bryce Canyon

6/18/2010

We had a great time at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, but we were anxious to have new adventures. We were very blessed with perfect weather in the 70's, since we were dry camping with no hook ups, and didn't have air conditioning even if we wanted it. As we left our high elevations we got a great view of the Vermilion Cliffs below. We cruised through Kanab, Utah and on up Hwy. 89 north. We get to see those beautiful mountains again, we saw while we stayed in Kanab. We hit new territory, we had never seen at this point. The roads between Kanab, Utah and Bryce Canyon, Utah have huge declines, inclines, and great views, if you can enjoy them on the drive. I enjoyed them, but I am not sure about Joe. More declines, and goat land. Views just south of Bryce Canyon. Bryce canyon is to the east of us now. We took Hwy. 12 east to our new digs. We went through two stone arches on our way. Two miles away from our new backyard. Our new backyard was at Bryce Canyon Pines Store & Campgrounds. The campground is located behind the gas station. We stayed for seven days with full hook ups. The campground just a few miles from Bryce Canyon National Park.
