4TH Year Budget Of Full Time Rving

I never got around to post our 4th year budget of full timing in our Nest (motor home). I finally have some time to post it. This budget is for Oct 22, 2011 to Oct. 22, 2012.

  • 8) RV Repairs, Supplies, Improvements ( 2 new flat screened TV installed, custom cabinets and drawers) & Maintenance--$15,339.00

  • 10) Medical Insurance----------------------------------------$4,640.00
  • 11) Cell Phone & Wireless Internet----------------$2,406.00
  • 12) Direct TV------------------------------$887.00
  • 13) 10 x 14 Storage Unit For Our Stuff--------$516.00
  • 14) RV And Car License, Plus Taxes On Our New Motor Home Purchased On Jan 2012---------------------------------------$1,500.00

  • Also Purchased 2003 40 Ft. 3 Slide Dutch Star for $36,000.00 ( Plus money made from sell of 1999 36 Ft, 2 slide Fleetwood Southwind went toward purchase of new motor home).

  1. so after four years you spent 2 grand on your storage unit... do you have more than that in it? I considered getting one and then thought it wouldn't be worth so I sold all that stuff too...

  2. Yes sometimes we wish we had sold everything, and we knew it wouldn't take long for the cost to go over the worth. Unfortunately we didn't know if we would enjoy this life style, so we didn't want to sell it all. We sold almost all the furniture, except for a couple antiques pieces, we didn't want to let go, and then there is always the boxes and boxes of pictures and keepsakes that money can't buy back, so we just grin and bear it as a RVing cost!
