TiKi RV Park And Waterfront Boardwalk In St. Ignace, MI.

We left Sault Ste. Marie, MI and drove 62 miles south on I-75 to St. Ignace. If you are going to the Tiki RV Park in St. Ignace, your turn off street is at this Fudge Shop with the lighthouse on top.

You will also see the Tiki RV Park sign at your turn.

We wanted to stay in this park for a week, but since we were coming in on the Labor day weekend, we could only stay for 4 nights. We just hate holiday weekends!

The park is nothing special, except for the location. It is located in the town of St. Ignace.

In roads and sites are gravel, and the upper part of the park is in tall pines. There are only a few sewer sites, which we did have. We also got a site with 50 amp. We paid $2 extra for sewer and $2 extra for the 50 amp. We used are Passport America membership, and got the rate at half price at $22 a night, with the extras. The discount was not available on the weekend, and would have been $44 a night if they had had room for us to stay through the weekend.

The park sits at the top of this hill, but there are only about 2 sites that have a water view. One is in the front part of the park, and one in the back part of the park. If you request it, you might be able to get one of them.

After setting up, we drove into the town of St. Ignace for groceries. On the way back to the park on Business 75, I took this picture of the harbor in the town.

Be sure to stopped at the  St. Ignace Visitor Center to get your maps and information of what is happening during your visit. You can also get discounts for the ferry rides to Mackinac Island.

Kiwanis Beach is across the street from the visitor center on the main street of the down town of St. Ignace.

We took the downtown boardwalk along the harbor (After we took the groceries home and picked up Mallery). The water in Lake Huron is also super clear and blue.

The town of St Ignace has a population of 2,452.

If you want a place for your picnic lunch, you can stop at the at the Chief Wawatam Park along the boardwalk.

At the end of the boardwalk is the Chief Wawatam Lighthouse.

Out beyond the lighthouse is Mackinac island.

As we backtracked the boardwalk to the visitor center and our car, we walked pass the splash pad where little ones were having fun.

If you didn't bring your sack lunch, you can always stop and have lunch on the patio of the Mackinac Grille Patio Bar.

So many of the UP Michigan towns have their streets lined with flowers.

Back at the Nest Joe saw this woodpecker outside our window. I think is is a Pileated Woodpecker.
We currently our in Petoskey, MI. Because we have been staying for 4 day stays at so many places, I just haven't had the time to blog because we have been doing a lot of sightseeing. Hoping we will find a place to stay longer and just chill for awhile.
