| It has been a long time since I blogged because we have been very busy looking at lake homes with realtors. I am going to attempt to get caught up on my blog since we have pretty much exhausted the realtor market in the areas we are looking in. So now we wait for any new homes that hopefully will come on the market or prices dropping as the season gets closer to fall. I last left you off in Alpena, MI., which is on the east side of Northern Michigan. We left Alpena and drove due west on Hwy. M-32. |

| When we reached Gaylord, MI, we found a Super Wal-Mart for the night. Gaylord is on the cross roads of I-75 and M-32. Gaylord has a population of around 3,600 people and styles itself as an Alpine Village. It has much snow in the winter and is known for it's skiing and golf resorts. |

| The next day we left Gaylord and took Hwy 131 SE. |

| Our drive was very short that day to Chain O' Lakes Campground in Bellaire, MI. |

| The park asked us to excuse the mess, and said they were way behind as they had a long snowy season with the snow melting just a few weeks prior. |

| We were given a choice of two sites, one on gravel under trees, and one with a cement pad with no trees above us. Which do you think we picked? It is a no brainier for us! |

| Most of the park is under tall trees. |

| The bathrooms were better than some I've seen, but not as nice as some others. I would rate them at about 6. I am just glad I have my own shower in our Nest! |

| After a few days in the park the pool cover was removed and hand rails were put in. This was the closest park we could find to the east side of Torch Lake. We spent 6 days here while we looked at homes with a realtor. We paid $21 a day for 3 days using Passport America.
