Spring Break And The Last Condo To View

We had an hour before we needed to be at our last rental viewing, so we decided to check out the beach.

March is the beginning of "Spring Break" and this weekend it was in full swing.

We saw a crowd, so we walked over to check it out. Young Spring Breakers would run with a inner tube or something on that line,

and come down riding it on this wet plastic slide.

Just as we got there, there seem to be some technical difficulty and they had to do some work to the plastic slid before anyone else could take the ride, so we moved on down the beach.

We walked a mile down the beach to the Gulf State Park Pier,

and than turned back. We have never see the beach like this with so many people. Joe said he liked it better when it was empty, even though I think he enjoyed seeing a few cute girls in their tiny weenie bikini.

This place was in a community called H & A Sand Box Sea Oats. The entire condo's was in the progress of being re-painted to blue. The unit we were visiting was on the second floor.

From the front door you walked down a hall past the washer and dryer in a closet.

The kitchen was the largest I have seen with lots of counter space.

It had a window looking out toward the living room.

On the balcony, there was a view toward the ocean.

And a view toward Little Lagoon.

The balcony was a nice size for more than two people. It was a bit messy as the owner was cleaning the unit and she had stuff on the deck that normally wouldn't be there. Her cleaning lady was suddenly called away because another condo had to be cleaned pronto, due to Spring Breakers leaving a big mess including vomit in a corner 

In the living room there was room for 6 to 8 people if you moved a few chairs from the table into the living room.

The Sea Oats rental had a nice size bedroom with a king size bed and two nice size closets and a sliding door to the deck.

A lot of the condo's have very small or no dressers at all, and for snowbirds, dressers are very important.

Both bathrooms had only one sink but very large vanities giving more space for stuff to be placed above and below the sink. None of the other rentals could match this size of bathroom vanities. The owner was going to rent this unit to us for $1000 for December, $1300 for January and February, and $1600 for March. Now all we had to do was weigh out the positives and negatives of our top 3 rentals and make a decision. (This was one of the favorite 3).

I have been having a lot of problems getting Mallery to eat anything lately. She is either very spoiled from me giving her what ever I can find to get her to eat, making her even more finicky than she already was or she is losing her appetite.

We have one more day in Gulf Shores, leaving Wednesday to start our slow snail pace trek to our Northern summer home.
