Sedona- 3rd Day Trip

10/23/09
We headed to Sedona again to go for another hike. Today marked the one year anniversary for us as RV full timers. Does this mean we have graduated from the newbie status? Joe spotted this cloud in the sky. What a weird cloud. It looked like a spaceship. Entering into Sedona, which is 15 mile north of Cottonwood where our campground is located. It is much cheeper to stay in Cottonwood. Sedona is a very clean , progressive looking, small town of about 58,000 people. But it is also very expensive to own a home there.
We reach Cathedral Rock, the last of the 4 main vortex's. you can see people climbing on it in the picture.
One third of the way up, we stop to take some pictures. It was warm walking in the sun, but we reached the shade, so walking was much easier for Mallery and us.
Weather has been in the 70's, but it is always hot in the sun. I climbed up 2/3's of Cathedral Rock. Joe said, he didn't feel comfortable going any higher and stayed back with Mallery. Can you see me way up there. About every 3rd night we get great color at sunset, but nothing like the first night we were here.
