BLM Campspot off Hwy 189 Wyoming

7/6/2010

So we got set up at our BLM campsite off Hwy. 189 just north of Kemmerer, Wyoming.
The cattle are roaming just outside our nest. Right now they have been down at the river for a drink.
I look out our kitchen table window to the right and you see we have many grazing cows, and more to the left.A few cross the road in front of our Nest.
One is outside our door.
This one is still down by the river.Mallery does not know what to think about the cows. She watches, but does not bark at them.
This mother and baby are just out side my couch window.
I really enjoyed watching this mother lick and clean her baby's face,
and mother over him/her.
And then the baby lick his/ her mom's face.
Now she cleans her baby's back.
Alisha calls me, so Joe goes out with the camera. He doesn't know how to use it, so he doesn't change the setting to sunset.
He tells me I am missing a great sunset. I am watching it out my window, while I talk to my daughter.
He continues to take pictures. Some of them turned out pretty good considering the camera was on the wrong setting!
Sunset through the trees.
Sunset reflecting over the river.
Sunset while people were fishing on the river.
Fishermen in a boat at sunset.
Another sunset over the river.
River water the color of red from the reflection of the sky.
The sky's were much better than the pictures, but I wasn't with him to set the camera.
Joe came back and told me I missed out on all the fish a guy down at the river had caught in about 30 minutes. He said the guy held a stringer of about 20 fish he caught one after another. There were these May flies all over the place, and Joe said the fish were hitting the water surface by the thousands, and I really missed out on the action. After he told me all his fish stories we went outside and did some star gazing. This is a great place to camp, if you don't mind sharing the place with cows!
