Sunshine Skyway & Englewood Beach 3/17/2011

It was time to leave the St. Petersburg area, so we headed across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

The bridge crosses the Tampa Bay.

A very long fishing pier run along the side of the bridge.

The bridge has a 5 percent grade up.

I am glade Joe can drive across bridges. I always got anxiety driving a car across tall and long bridges.

The bridge is 5.5 miles long.

After setting up at Wal-Mart in North Port, Florida, we drove to the Englewood Beach. The temps were in the low 80's.

I spotted this fish on the beach. After taking it's pictures, we put it back in the water, but he was already dead. A man said he thought it was a puff fish.

The town of Englewood had a small town feel, & the beach was a nice beach to walk on.

We came upon, a section where someone had spent a lot of time, creating sand art. A mermaid and starfish in this picture.

Seahorse

Alligator

Octopus
There was a sign that stated, " Enjoy, but please do not touch" It also said the art had been there for 2 months.

We walked back down the beach. Half way back we saw this art, that we had not notice before.

We have a goal to say we have walked on every USA beach someday!
