The Coeurd' Alene Resort, Coeur d' Alene, Idaho

Wednesday 10/9/2012

After our Coeur d' Alene Scenic Byway drive, we went back to the downtown area.

We wanted to walk on the World's Longest Floating Boardwalk at The Coeurd' Alene, A resort on the lake

As we entered the boardwalk, we stopped to view information on the lake cruises.
We walked the 12 ft wide, 3,300 ft. floating boardwalk.
My daughter Alisha called while we were walking it that day. I managed to take pictures somehow while I talked to her.

Boat carports at the Coeurd'Alene Resort.

Some pretty nice boats docked at the resort.

Views of the surrounding mountains.

What a wonderful way to spend our 19th anniversary of marriage.
.
We think this was a restaurant next to the Coeurd' Alene Resort.

View of the boardwalk from the upper bridge of the boardwalk.

Then again this building might be private rooms of the resort.

As we walked toward the City Park, Mallery found some grass that looked like Iowa grass.

"Oh how I miss Iowa grass", thought Mallery, as she rolled in the grass.

"Oh that felt so good", said Mallery

We walked past the beach.

Dock with a airplane for seeing the lake from above.

Past the dock was another beach.

Mudgy the Moose stood next to the beach.

Millie sat on Mudgy's nose.
There are 5 Mudgy and Millie statues in different locations in Coeur d' Alene. There also is Mudgy and Millie book that can be purchased at the Library.

We walked along the beach in the City Park.

At the end of the park, there were homes that were across the street from the lake.
We turned around, and walked back through the park toward the resort again.

The downtown of Coeur d' Alene has a small town feel, because all chain business are located out along I-90.

This was posted on the park building. I took a picture of it because I thought it was something we all need to remember to do. This has been a bit hard to do during this time of political season. I know the negativism has got on me lately. It is very true, that when you are around or near people who are negative, it gets on you, so it is best to stay away from it as much as possible.

Across the street from the resort, is The Shops.

We walked back to our car that was in a parking lot that had 2 hours of free parking.

As we drove home, I took another picture of the beautifully designed Visitor Center.
