North Central Arkansa Landscape

                                         Tuesday 7/2/2013

While we were staying at Ozark View RV Resort in Omaha, AR., we were trying to walk every other day around the resort.  A permanent resident of the park told us about a route that was about a 2 mile loop on a country roads that we might enjoy. The first part of the walk was down a gravel road that was mostly wooded with canopy trees.

The second half opened up to pastureland and up and down hills.

Joe and I really think this part of Arkansas is so pretty. We met another couple in our resort that is from Florida. They leave Florida during the summer months and travel 3 months of the year. They have a toy hauler on the back of their 5th-wheel which carries, bikes, canoes, and a motorcycle. There are about 10 -12 motorcycle routes in this area which they have been driving. The other day they saw a black bear in the middle of the road as they turned a bend. Once it saw them, it ran into the woods. Didn't know bears were in these parts, but I guess there are.

As we got close to the road our park is on, we got a good view of the home that sits down road from us. This home has the most spectacular views around.

An interesting old entrance gate to someones property.

Another view of the home that has a spectacular view.  The weather was a bit cooler while we were in Omaha, AR., being in the 80's. After having 90's for about 4 weeks, 80's felt so much better.
We leave  Branson West, MO. tomorrow  to Columbia, MO. for one night, and then on to Ottumwa, IA., where I grew up. We will be going to my 40th class reunion.
