Kid's Party At Tiff's & Christmas Boat Show

12/11/2010

Tiffany hosted the annual Christmas coworkers and their kids cookie and card making party this year.

Kids at her backyard table decorating Christmas cookies with their mom's help. After the cookies are decorated the kids enjoy the treats.
The mothers enjoy outside of work time with each other.
Some of the kids did not want to participate, so instead they played in the back yard. The older boys played football in the side yard. I was surprised nothing was damaged after 4 hours of kids running through the house, climbing the fence, and throwing baseballs and football around house windows.
Now it's was time to make Christmas ornaments or cards with the children's picture on them.

After Tiff's co-workers party, Joe and I went 3 blocks down the street to watch the annual Christmas light decorating boat show on the canal.
A look down the canal.

The first boat to arrive.
The canal runs from Wolf Bay to Mobile Bay.
many barges go through the canal to avoid the ocean route.
Because the canal separates the land from the main land, part of gulf Shores is on a large island called Paradise Island.
Both Alisha and Tiffany live on Paradise Island.
The beach is about 2-3 miles down the road.

Though I have only been to the beach 2 times since we have been here.
We went to the beach one night for a free concert with Bon Jovi.
And then for the Snow on the Beach festivities, I previously blogged about.
I just have been too busy with my girls and Nana babies.
The last time Joe and I stayed here two years ago, we walked the beach almost daily.
We did have much nicer weather that year.
We also stayed in a RV park that year, unlike this year we are parked in the girls driveway.
So they keep us very busy.
Hope you enjoyed the pretty colorful Christmas lights reflecting on the water.

See Santa on top of the boat.
