River Walk in Laughlin, NV

                                                     Tuesday 3/20/2012

On our last day in Bullhead City, we drove across the river to get some exercise on the River Walk which is located behind the casino's in Laughlin, NV.
We started at the Riverside Casino to start the River Walk. This boat ride was advertising rides for $10. I don't know how long the ride were for, but the price seemed reasonable.
Bullhead City is across the Colorado River. Bullhead City, AZ. has a population of 39,000. When the Davis Dam was built, the city was born.
The River Walk is a very nice walk, connecting casino to casino.
I could see this American Flag at night from Ridgeview RV Resort in Bullhead City. I wondered what it was. It is a background to stadium seating in front of a stage.
The walk takes you to the back of the Colorado Belle Casino, then it end there. You have to go out the front door and walk over to the next casino to pick the walk up again. I am not sure why there is a break in the River Walk between these two casino's.
You pick up the River Walk at the Pioneer Casino.
The Pioneer Casino has a small beach from the River Walk.
You can take a six hour jet boat tour from the River Walk down to the London Bridge in Lake Havasu, The London Bridge is  about 45 miles south of the Bullhead City.
There are three different Starbucks along the walk.
If you do not want to walk from casino to casino, you can take a shuttle boat. You can also take a shuttle boat from the Arizona side of the river from a parking lot or a hotel over to the casino's.
There is a Joe's Crab Shack along the walk.
There was one hill to climb on the walk.
I found this monkey along the way.
There were several of these monkeys holding torches. There was an empty lot behind the walk. We wondered if a casino used to be there.
Only two of the monkeys had flames at the end of there torches.
We were coming to the end of the walk.
Harrah's is not on the walk. You have to walk down the city sidewalk to the first casino on the block to get to the walk from Harrah's.
Joe's back was bothering him that day. I was walking ahead of him some because he was walking too slow.
We retrace our steps back on the River Walk.
River Walk door to the Aquarius Casino.
A look back on the River Walk.
There are a lot of fast food restaurants on the River Walk, as well as a few shops.
I looked over toward our campground to see if I could see it.
You can see some of the RV's in the campground above and to the left of the red building.
After our walk back to Riverside Casino, we got our car and drove to the Aquarius Casino.
I found the Starbucks in the Aquarius Casino, while Joe played the craps table for awhile. I don't like to gamble because I just play the slots and it doesn't take long for my money to be gone. I play the Powerball lottery each week. That's my kind of gambling. When Joe came back , he was only $15.00 down for the week, so he was ready to leave.
