Cape Hatteras Light Station 5/17/2011

While still staying at Frisco Woods Campground, we drove to the Cape Hatteras Light Station, which was five miles north from where we were staying. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot it started to pour.

We went into the Visitor Center, and looked around until it stopped raining. It was packed in there.

You can go to the top for $8. We will be in the area for awhile, so I am hoping to get back on a clear day where you can see farther.

On the way up to the light house I had got a glimpse of what looked like a space ship. Joe and I looked for it as we drove back home.

It is on the north end of Frisco.

Not for sure what business it is from the sign.

It had green aliens in some of the windows.

After lunch we went to Hatteras Village and found a beach entrance for our daily walk. Parking is free and dogs can be on the beach on a leash. There were lots of shells on the beach, but also a great walking beach.

This was our last night at Frisco Woods Campground.

And our last night on the Pamlico Sound.
