Lake Pointe Resort, Canyon Lake, Texas

                                   Saturday 4/6/2013

Diane wanted to stay home today so I went out to explore. I stumbled across this snake in the road in front of our RV site. It is a Patchnose snake. It grows to 24 to 36 inches. It is harmless. Later in the day when I came home it had been run over and was dead.

I checked out the adult TV room?  What can I say,  not much but a place to watch TV. The TV was a 21 inch tube type.

This is the laundry. Looks nice.

This is the office, clubhouse, Sunday chapel, and special events eating area. Hard to believe it all fits in this small building.

This is  the back patio area.

More of the multilevel deck and garden area; with the lake in the background.

This is the family swimming pool, below the decks. Pretty nice with a great view.

I decided to walk down to the lake. I followed a path down to the water. This is a US ARMY CORPS RESERVOIR. Fed by the Guadalupe River in the Texas Hill County completed in 1964 .

There is a lot of empty land to cross, some of it is due to the drought lowered lake. Check out the 3 Jet Conrail's in the sky.

This is a look back towards the road the leads to our RV park. There are some nice condos just a few blocks from our RV park.

The lake ends here. This is a finger of the lake.

This is looking the opposite direction towards the body of the lake. Not much of a beach.

After looking at the end of the finger, I started the walk to another area outside out park.

As you can see a lot of area that normally would be underwater.

At this spot, instead of sand there is rock. It is kind of a pot marked moon-scape look.

You can see that it extends out into the lake.

I found this heart shaped indentation.

I found a pair of cutters that must have fallen out of someones boat one day.

Check out the shells. All this area should be underwater.

Someone out fishing. Wish it was me.

This is the view looking back at our RV park.

Almost home. Diane missed a lot!
