Our Move to the Parking Lot

Today we decided to walk on the boardwalk across the bay from our RV park. This boardwalk is about 3 miles long around the bays. Are Nest is over there across the bay. We can get to this boardwalk by walking out of the entrance of our park. I spotted this green and red parrot in the tree on our walk. After looking closer, I found that there were 4 of them in the tree. When we were in Tuscon at the Sonora Desert Museum we saw this parrot, but it was in captivity. They said you had to drive about 100 miles into Mexico to see these parrots. So I feel very blessed to see them in the USA in the wild. We are way on the far end of our walk. We turned around here and headed back. We are very impressed how many people use the parks and boardwalks in San Diego. Here again is one of these reddish orange bloom trees I see everywhere. They are so pretty. The view of the houses as we walk up in the hills below the freeway. I just zoomed in on the houses. Mallery is all tuckered out, even though she rode in her stroller most of the way. So glad I bought this bed for her! It is her favorite place in our Nest. This week we also had to fight the traffic so I could go to a Dr. appointments so I could get some prescriptions refilled, and a eye Dr to get a new prescription for glasses. 3/20/2010




This morning we left Mission Bay RV Park, because the rate was going up from $20 to $40 a night. The park gives Passport America members the $ 20 a night rate from Monday to Thursdays. Friday through Sunday, the membership is not valid. We were planning on driving to the suburb of El Cajon to another park that has a cheaper rate, but we had noticed that there has been other RVs that have parked overnight in the parking lot of the Mission Bay city park along side the boardwalks. There is a sign posted that overnight stays are not allowed. Joe and I decided we would give it a chance, so we left the Mission Bay RV Park and drove out their driveway right into the parks parking lot. Joe said the sign said no overnight parking from 2 - 4 AM. He also said if the police came knocking at our door at 2 AM, we would have to drive next door to the park we just left and park in their parking lot till they opened in the morning. So here we are boon docking in the city park parking lot. That RV over there in front of us has been there for a week. I am looking out the Nest's door and and I can see the Mission Bay RV Park entrance. We woke in the morning realizing no one came knocking at our door. We have seen a couple of Wal-Marts with similar signs and have asked Wal-Mart why they have those signs. I guess some citys just put up those signs as city ordinance. Joe thinks, some cities post signs up like that so they can kick people out that abuse situations like staying somewhere for months or who party and make all kinds of noise. Upon opening our blinds we discover a model T rally going on behind us. Overall it was a very quiet and uneventful night last night.
