After setting up, we took Mallery for a walk around our park. We walked around the RV part of the park, which has 200 + lots, then we went outside the gate and walked around the mobile home part of the park. This part of the mobile home park was on the bay and had a walkway around the bay. We could see RVs parked across the bay on the sand. We wondered if they were boon docking? A couple of neat yard ornaments! This is our RV park's small beach that looks across the bay and out to the homes on the hill. It is located just across a parking lot outside of the fence that surrounds our RV park. This is one of the mobile home's yard in our park, it has this neat moss covering the whole front yard. After our walk Mallery took her nap.

Today we are taking Mallery to a vet specialist here in San Diego.
The vet specialist is in the La Jolla area, a very well to do place. On our way I see these trees with red to orange blooms. I've been seeing them all over the place. Spring is definitely here! Or maybe they always are blooming around here? We spent about an hour with the specialist. He feels Mallery can be kept on the same medicine that she is on now, as well as some other medicine to maintain her collapsed trachea. He thinks she is doing very well considering how bad her x-rays look. As we left the vets, which cost me another $120, Joe said I sure know how to pick fancy vet specialist. The business had several different kinds of vet specialists, and the building and it's interior were pretty posh. They had several different dogie treats and people treats as well, like rice crispy and granola bars. I would have taken a picture of the place, but my batteries ran out just as I was taking a picture of the place. It is the biggest vet specialist in California. Mission Bay
After getting home, we took a walk, but this time, we walked on the other side of the bay. That is the mobile home part of our park that you see across the bay with all the palms. The RV park sits behind those homes. Lots of these birds on this side of the bay. There is some king of seed thrown out for them. 3/18/2010
Joe wanted to drive around today and get an overview, before we did any on foot sightseeing. He likes to get a big picture of things, so he can than make sure we don't miss anything important.
On Harbor Dr we whizz by the very impressive 3 block long convention center. Petco Stadium Back of the convention center. We could not find a route to Chula Vista, a fancy area of San Diego. The GPS wasn't much help as it took us to the back side of the convention center. Not a total waste of time, I got to see those neat vine designs on the walls from the parking lot area. Chula Vista must be so fancy you have to know the secret way to get in? Another shot of the convention center as we continue our search. Last shot of the convention center as Joe gives up on his search for Chula Vista. Interesting and very classy apartment building across from the convention center. Another neat building down town. Sorry, but we are going past the convention center again and I got a different angle of it. I need to entertain myself somehow while my husband is doing the man thing. Lots of neat sculptures in San Diego. View heading towards down town San Diego. There all kinds of characters around town . This dud's bike was decorated with all kinds of beads, ribbons and stuff, like he was in a parade. Joe gave me the perfect opportunity to get a great shot of him and his bike, but as we passed him, he looked at us and I was too embarrassed to take his picture.
