Catherine's Landing, Hot Springs, Arkansas

                                   Monday 6/10/2013

We left Ashdown, Arkansas, and headed back toward Texarkana, Texas to catch I-30 then back into Arkansas.

Our drive to Hot Springs took 4 hours including a pit stop at a rest stop midway for lunch.

As we approached Hot Springs, AR. we started to see hills again.

We will be staying at Catherine's Landing in Hot Springs for one week.

Nicest office we have ever registered at.

A very nice pool area sits next to the office/registration building.

We are paying $30 a day, which is the weekly rate. This resort is not a member to any of the memberships that we have so this is the full weekly price.

The resort is on the land that use to be Humphrey's Dairy.

There is a TV area and fireplace in the registration building.

There is also a supply/gift shop in this building.

View of office building and pool area from down below, with a fountain/fall coming down below the pool.

All the in roads are paved,

and the RV pads are paved. Yea!

Our view of the Catherine Lake out our front window. (Wish is a river to me. If you continue up the river, you get to the lake).

In the campground, there is a boat launch for those who bring their boats.

Looking up river/lake,

and down river/lake. You can rent kayaks or boats from the resort .

There is a very large pavilion in the park.

A shower/restroom is located at the far end of the pavilion.

There are also 7 Yurts that can be rented.
This is a very nice resort. My only complaint is there are no trees, and it is going to be 95 degrees today. Yikes! Why are we still this far south? Aren't we suppose to be in the sweet spot? Oh yea, I have a class reunion. My husband is sacrificing a lot so I can go to my class reunion in Iowa in July. Thanks Joe.
