Questa, New Mexico

We left Blanca, Colorado today around 12:00 noon. We headed south on Hwy 159. The landscape
was the same with sage brush covering the land.
What is this green? I have not seen green since eastern South Dakota. We think it might be potato's. We were told that there are a lot of potato's grown in the valley. Sagebrush, green, ( potato's), hay , mountains and sky. Sagebrush, hay, mountain, clouds, sky. This is southern Colorado, with sagebrush as far as you can see, or the mountains. Note no fences or telephone poles or wires. New Mexico with layers of mountains ahead. Our new backyard in Questa, New Mexico, just 10 miles from the Colorado border. Total drive time was about 1 hour.

Questa Lodge for $12 a night.
Nice drive into park, but a bit narrow.
Nice park like area around a pond with a fountain. Our spot for a few nights. View out door. Mountains, a cabin, and an old shed that is ready to fall in, on the other side of the fence. The owners are really working to make this place nice, but they are surrounded by un kept neighbors. ( looking through the screen)Front window view. Other front window view. Looks like a junk car yard on the other side of the fence. But we have a Queen duck and protective Mr. goose, that came to visit us at our front door. Miss Queen duck. On another note, today's high was 79 degrees- beautiful day!
