Ponderosa Falls RV Park, Cheney, WA

Monday 10/1/2012

After a week in Moses Lake, WA, we packed up and headed east.
Goodbye Moses Lake. Cheney, WA here we come. Cheney is about 10 miles west of Spokane, WA.

Our drive continues on I-90.

Moses Lake sits at 1070 feet. Our drive to Cheney was a gradual incline.

Near Cheney, the treeless landscape turned into scattered evergreens.

In Cheney, our GPS took us through a suburb neighborhood.

Open House or Ponderosa Falls RV Park. For a minute we wondered if the GPS was getting mixed up again. We turned right and drove a few yards to the park.

The drive into the park. Our ending elevation in the park was 2,359 feet.

The park had three lanes dedicated for registration parking. We never had seen that before. Great planning on the parks part!

Office that also house's the Club House.

While Joe registers, I do my picture tour of the park. I was looking down from the office in this picture. The park has a really nice miniature golf course, but I didn't get a picture of it.

This is the indoor pool that has a wall that opens up for an outdoor pool setting during the summer.
The cabins sit above the hill from the office.

Dining room next to the office.

Kitchen in the dining area.
Next to the dining room is the rec room.

Joe asked for a site that would give us the best chance to get a satellite connection. They gave us a site up on the hill that was located with the permanent RVer's.

We had site #84, and was able to get a satellite and internet signal. The internet signal was too week to upload pictures, because the pictures would have a line across the picture with different colors. The park had free WiFi that you could only get if you sat in the Club House. But the WiFi signal in the Club House was too weak to upload pictures. It took 5 minutes for one picture. I ended up going to McDonald's which was about 2 miles up the road, during our stay in the park. The park told me they were working on putting in a new system that would allow  a WiFi signal to all the sites, but it wouldn't be completed for a month or so. I didn't ask if that system was going to be free like the present WiFi signal. We stayed at Ponderosa Falls RV Park for a week because it was a ROD park and we could stay free. This is the nicest ROD parks that we have stayed at so far, except for the internet signal problem.
