It was time to leave Bryce Canyon National Campground. We still had room in our grey tank, but Joe was getting restless, and my 2 packages that I was waiting for in the mail had arrived. We went back through the two arches on Hwy. 12. I thought when we had first came through here, this was part of Bryce Canyon, but it is called Red Rock Canyon. We never had time to explore this area. We took Hwy. 89 North off of Hwy. 12. Our GPS wanted us to continue up 89 to interstate 70, and then over to interstate 15. But we had decided to take Hwy. 20 over to interstate 15. We thought the direction the GPS wanted us to take might take us into higher ground. After climbing about 2000 feet on Hwy. 20, we wondered if we had chosen the wrong route. By the time we were reaching the top, we were at the top speed of 22 miles per hour, but Joe was not sweating bullets this time. He has finally realized, we will make it up, just at a crawl sometimes. Coming down from the summit, we had a great view of the valley below. In the valley, I looked north and saw these mountains. Can you see the very tall dust devil? After a long 4 hour day we near our exit. Joe found a good place to hang out for a few days with our Camp Club membership, at $12 a day with full hook ups. Doesn't look like much when we first pulled up. The A frame building is the office. The only problem with this place is when you call them, they never answer the phone or return your calls. Joe did get a hold of them once when they were in the office, and they said we should be able to find a spot as long as we didn't arrive on the weekend. When we arrived, the office was closed. A note on the door instructs you to find a spot, and then deposit your money in the envelope and drop it in the drop slot on the door. We planned on hanging out here for a few days. The whole time we were here, we never saw anyone, except a few people who mowed the grass and empty the garbage cans. They looked like they were campers who were working for their lot rent. Our view from our front door. Mt. Nebo 11,929 feet
