After a day of grocery shopping for Joe, and crocheting, and reading for me at Homestead, Fl. we headed farther south on Hwy. 1 |
We cross one of the many bridges to one of the many islands in the Keys. |
Most of our drive to Marathon was on roads like this or through business districts of the towns on the islands. |
Joe and I both thought we would be driving on miles after miles of roads built over the ocean, |
but that was not the case. |
We arrive in our new home town for five nights. |
Our new neighborhood is at Jolly Rogers Travel Park. |
After we set up our Nest at site 47, Joe always like to check out our new surroundings. We have a dock in our back yard! |
On an old dock post a brown pelican is taking an afternoon nap. |
From the dock you can see the snorkeling /swimming area. You can also see the oceanfront sites. |
A nice pavilion off the dock. |
Sidewalk in front of oceanfront property. |
Very clear water, |
and vegetation for sea creatures to hind in. |
A fish cleaning station, |
and more oceanfront property. |
A place for non oceanfront owners to watch sunsets, and for tenters to set up their tents. |
We are nine rows back from the rich folks, but we have lots of shade they don't have. |
Joe put out our awning and chairs, because we are going to be here long enough for the effort. |
After dinner we head for our Tiki Hut Park. |
We enjoyed our Fathers beautiful sunset. We haven't seen one of these kinds of sunset, for over a year now. |
. |
I would recommend this RV park. Very nice place. |
