Pumpkin Patch RV Resort, & Dysart's Truck Stop & Restaurant in ME

We moved down the road  to Hermon, ME., still traveling on Hwy. 2 east. Hermon, ME. is just west of Bangor ME.

We met a couple while in New Hampshire, who said this campground was very nice.

So we decided to check the park out. It was on our route and it was a Passport America Campground.
Pumpkin Patch RV Resort, is as neat as a pin.

If you are looking for a swimming pool, you will not find one here. But if you want to stay in a extremely well kept campground, stop at the Pumpkin Patch.

The pads are gravel, but there was nice grass, to play ball with Mallery.

We got a corner lot on Turnip Drive.

Our address was # 17 Turnip Drive. We stayed here for three day at $ 17  a day. One day it rained all day, but we didn't care, because we had planned to come here and just chill, and to do catch up stuff! The three days we were here, the park was completely full. Many RVs were put in the overflow section with just electric.

After three nights at the Pumkin Patch, we drove about 5 miles east on Hwy. 2 to Dysart's Truck Stop. Joe made an appointment to get the Nest's oil changed that day. While the oil was being changed, we did some shopping in Bangor, ME. When the truck stop was done changing the oil, we drove and parked at the truck stop for the night.

The next morning we walked up to the Dysart Truck Stop Restaurant. Ever since we had got here the day before, the restaurant parking lot had been full.

Walking from our Nest to the restaurant. The restaurant is open 24 hours a day.

Our RV friends Dawn & Jeff, had told us about this place.

The restaurant was jam packed full, and the waitresses were running their fanny's off !

We both had their Maine blueberry pancakes, that were the size of a plate. We both were full after eating just one. Doggie bag please! I also bought a desert Dawn had recommended. I ordered it to go. It was an apple pudding cake with ice cream. I had the ice cream put in a separate container, so it could go to the freezer for later that day. That evening, I warmed up the pudding cake and added the ice cream. It was really good, but I recommend eating it straight from the restaurant kitchen, instead of as a take out. I think it would have been a A++, instead of a A desert.
