Guaranty RV Service, Junction City, OR.

                                Monday 7/2/2012

After our appointment with Davis Cabinets, we had another appointment with Guaranty RV Service in Junction City. It is located just blocks from Davis Cabinets.

We met with our service adviser, and Joe gave him our long "fix it list". They got us into the service bay after about an hour, and they fixed one thing that day. Not encouranging according to Joe.

Guaranty RV Service has a RV parking lot Park across the street.

All of the perimeter sites have electricity. Some have water.

One of the things that needed to be fixed was our washer/dryer.  We were given the option of paying $800 for fixing and replacing a part on the washer, or replace the 9 year old washer and dry with a new one for $1580.

We decided to put in a new one, and hopefully have no problems for many years.

On the bright side, I like the different dial system that are on the newer model.

Guaranty has a great customer waiting lounge where we spent almost all our days that week while our Motor home was worked on. They had very fast internet, so I up loaded many pictures for numerous future blogs. Joe was very frustrated with Guaranty by the end of the week because they would work on one thing at a time, and very little would get done in a day. He thought they could have multitasks more.

                                           Saturday 7/7/2012

By Saturday Guaranty still wasn't done, so we had to stay the weekend in their free RV lot. ( We were suppose to be at Davis Cabinets Sunday night for a Monday appointment to get some work done there. It wasn't going to happen). I told Joe I wanted to go to the Eugene Saturday Market for something to do.

Dogs are not allowed, so we were glad we had left Mallery back at the Nest.

The Saturday Market is the oldest weekly open-air crafts market in the U.S. The market has been every Saturday since 1970 April to November rain or shine.

The Saturday Market is a two square blocks with about 150 vendors. This kind of stuff is just up my alley. I love arts and crafts and farmers markets!
In the center, there are several food stands with yummy things to eat.

I decided to try the Falafel.

After you get your food, the trick is to find a place to sit.

A Falafel is a deep-fried ball or patty made from ground chickpeas, fava beans, or both. I had never heard of them before, but decide to be adventurous. I loved it. If I ever get back to Eugene Saturday Market, I will definitely get another one. (I took a bite before I remembered to take a picture. It looked prettier before the bite).

Joe ordered the fish and chips without the chips. He said he didn't need the chips. I think he just didn't want to spend the money on them. ( he doesn't remember what kind of fish it was. He said I need to get caught up so he can remember these things!

While we enjoyed our lunch, we got to jam to some music also.

Beside the arts and crafts market there is also a very large and wonderful farmers market.

Across the street from the Saturday Market was a group of the 99% or occupy movement jamming to music.

By the end of the week we had managed to get a spot on the other side of the parking lot with a electricity and water hook up site. There is also a dump, so after work every day, we would dump before we hooked up to a site.

Back at  Guaranty for the rest of the weekend, and waiting for Monday morning, to get more work done on our Nest. We were also waiting for parts that were ordered to get our service finished.
